What We Do at Itzayana?

Ontario long-term care (LTC) homes provide 24/7 nursing, personal care, and medical services, plus meals, housekeeping, laundry, and social/recreational activities for those needing support beyond home care, including help with daily living, specialized therapies, and medication management in a licensed, government-funded setting. Services focus on comprehensive care for complex health, physical, or cognitive needs, offering a safe environment with regular health professional access and programmed activities.

What do we offer at Itzayana?

Nursing & Personal Care

24/7 support with bathing, dressing, feeding, and medical needs.

Medical Care

Access to doctors, nurses, and health professionals for treatments, medication, and managing chronic conditions.

Daily Living Assistance

Help with activities like eating, toileting, and mobility. Meals: Nutritious meals, often with special diet options, in shared dining areas.

Housekeeping & Laundry

Regular cleaning, bed linens, and laundry services.

Social & Recreational

Activities, entertainment, and spiritual/religious services. Specialized & Additional Services

Rehabilitation:

Physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

Dementia Care

Specialized programs for cognitive impairment.

End-of-Life Care

Palliative care and support.

Optional Services

May include hairdressing, dental, foot care, cable, or phone (often at extra cost).

Funded by Ministry of Health

Staffing and core supplies for care are government-funded.

Resident Fees:

Accommodation (room), some personal items, and optional services are paid by residents.

Managed by Ontario Health

Care coordinators help with applications and waitlists.
